What is a Breach of Contract?

Posted: May 8, 2020

A contract is an agreement between two or more parties. There are several different types of contracts, but they all serve a similar purpose: to bind the parties to whatever agreement is contained within.

A breach of contract occurs when one or more party fails to hold up their end of the contract. This can be willful and intentional or a result of oversight and carelessness, but the cause is irrelevant to the harm. If you are engaged in a contract dispute, it is best to call an experienced business attorney to make sure you are taking every step possible to remedy the situation.
