What should you do after a motorcycle accident?

Every motorcycle accident is going to be different, and so the circumstances of what to do are a little bit different, but in general what you want to do first is remove yourself from danger and seek medical treatment by calling 911 if you think you have any immediate medical needs.

The next thing you'll want to do is document everything. You'll want to write down the license plate numbers, take pictures of the scene if you have a camera or smartphone with a camera. Take pictures of the other driver. Take pictures of surrounding lanes and streets of where the accident occurred. Get the driver's license copies and insurance information for the other party.

And one thing about the other side's insurance is avoid talking to the other side's insurance company if you can. Definitely do not give a recorded statement without having spoken to an attorney first.
